    Re: Ricoh mpc 2000 - SC553

We have the same error code again with the second unit. In both fuserunits, the (recently new) transfer band was wrinkled (the new after 2500 A3) on one side and run out of the lead. after a provisional smoothing of the belt and bringing it back into the lead, the error code is gone for the time being. How can the crumpling of the belt be ruled out.

The reason for SC553 is due to the hole in the case of the fusing unit where the Thermopile reads the temp of the belt.
If the belt has that "golf ball" pattern the temp will be off.
From what I've read you haven't clarified whether or not the fusing assy has been PROPERLY refurbished or you've just been swapping out belts.
On these units you MUST replace ALL rollers when you re[place the belt.
And what do you mean you have the code "again"?
You weren't the original poster...you just hijacked his post?

You take an avatar from the online world personally? Hard to believe but sorry to you. The film from which exactly this drawing comes is certainly nice.

Differently. The oldest is probably our 20 year old ibm microchannel server for typography and plotting, followed by the amiga and some thinkpads for home and most recently a 10 year old cadnetwork workstation with 24 cores, 32GB, quadro + tesla graphics and SSD. Why?

First - Thank you for your interesting information that was new for me. Sound you have seen this!

When it is off how can I switch it and what exactly on?
Golf ball pattern is good described and what I see here.

The first unit with the golf ball belt was unmodified.
The second was rebuild. After I opened the unit I whould say only the belt comes new.
I also noticed that the main heater contained smaller wires than in the old unit and thought about replacing them. But unfortunately I do not know which is the last perhaps the most suitable revision.

After turning around and straightening the belt, the error has not been around for several days. but effectively I still do not have the solution to get a recurring golf ball structur on the other side of the belt. btw. always the right position of the belt next to the two thermopiles (left and middle) measuring points is affected ...

yes and sorry for hijacking. I thought we do not need a new essay with the same error code.

I saw where the post is not about problem solved.
              thanks
if you allow me I would suggest you beyond what the others rightly said, to take a small metal file and slowly clean the metal contacts of the fuser unit connector, and also those on the machine body, this simple operation solved me a lots of sc problems the meant other things

I also want to know the connected with it. First of all, it is necessary to find the description or, at least, place where you can get it, like EduBirdie.net that is one of the very important issues. Indeed, it is not too complicated to make the creative description. But what is about the other aspects? What must be the first one?

I believe that Ricoh tech training is available through MyRicoh. Of course first you do have to be a tech employed by Ricoh direct or an authorized dealer. If you are an independent tech or an end user, you will need to search the internet for a service manual, parts catalog, product support guide, point to point wiring guide and operations manual. You are lucky in that the C2000 is old enough that the service manual does have a detailed description section. Happy reading.
