    mpc 2500 error sc300

A customer has just asked me to have a look at a Ricoh mpc2500 the machine has just been shipped here and the drum units were just thrown in a box .After a quick clean I have fitted the drum units and keep getting a sc300 error. I think this is to do with charge but I am not sure any help greatly appreciated

    Thanks Paul

your right about the code sc300.. it relates to a charge problem in
the bk drum unit, the cause's listed are high voltage cable..
defective pcu or not installed..defective high voltage suppy..
on this model the drum units are not interchangeable.. so you
will have to try another bk drum unit.. hope this help's

i'd go for that too, replace black frum unit, part number B223 2042.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

      Hit it.

Actually, the drum units are interchangeable, you just need to know the secret.
Don't take that toner with me!

I, too, am keeper of such a secret!! However, sounds to me like you forgot to put the plug back into the connector located behind the front plate of the PCU.

Had it happen to me once when implementing the 'secret', lol

          Good luck!

Big Hint! If you dont get the shape of the connector at the back exactly right for gawds sake dont slam the PCU home in an attempt to get it to fit. Its a right $#@&*!! of a job to strip the gearbox out to repair the socket.

Thanks for the help I think replacing may be the best way due to the state of the drum units
