    Ricoh mpc 4502 autorotate when scanning...

    I know you can set the adf to autorotate when doing copies...

    I am checking if there is a way to autorotate to portrait when scanning...

    so if I do the document short edge or long edge it always scans correctly...

    How about just rotating the image on the monitor when you view the scanned image if it's not correct!!

          OK, I give up waiting for common sense to kick in, I'll do what I do best and state the obvious...

          When copying the machine doesn't auto rotate because it knows which way round the document is printed, but to fit the orientation of the media in the trays, or to use the rotate sort function. When scanning it doesn't have to fit it to any media!

          Alternatively you could fit the optional psychic sensor that reads the mind of the user and rotates it to which way the customer is thinking about it
