    Samsung SCX 6545 Scan speed?

    Please help me with a customer that bought this box. It seems like it is scanning too slow from scanning set up in smartthru. It takes a page then pauses a few seconds etc. The res is set for 300DPI and mono scanning to file server folder.

    I do not need the manual. I have it thanks. I just need a samsung expert. If you do not know scanning, please do not reply.

      The limiter is usually the network speed, not the ability of the document feeder to scan paper or process the data. =^..^=
      If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

          What BC said. I have a CLX-8540 in the field right now that has this same issue. It's (from what I can tell), the same setup as yours where it scans everything to a network folder. It does run extremely slow when it does that. Is this customer's server on a wireless network, or is anything in the process wireless?
