You can try opening the cover and removing the the toner then resetting it. i"ve seen this message appear after a memory clear or NVRAM reset.

I know that this is pretty late posting to this, but the issue here is that Samsung may have updated their firmware in later editions/production runs of this model to thwart toner rechargers. The toner is giving you this message because it is not compatible with your newer firmware. We purchase updated, properly working toner cartridge CRUM chips from Uninet Imaging (uninet.com). No problems with their chips - they stay on top of things.
