Our customer has an SCX-6555n copier that has been hanging up from time to time when printing. This causes the machine to hang and needs to be rebooted. It also pops up a Notice box that says:
The error code is 24-2, which is an MSOK error. I have reseated the MSOK itself and redid all the harness connections on the main board.
The error is intermittent and a simple power down and then power up seems to resolve it for a time.
The copier also hangs when booting up at times. It will constantly replay the samsung blue logo over and over. Once again, simply powering off and on seems to fix that.
I haven't had been back, but I am thinking to maybe reset NVM and/or remove the hard drive (as the machine will work without HDD).
We cannot re-flash the firmware, as this company has specialized firmware created by Samsung just for their machines.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks
