Is it a print problem also or it comes only when copying?

samsung 4826 that has a gray streak 1/2 inch wide 1 inch in from each side. not solid gray just dirty looking. made a sky shot cover open and 1/2 is gray and other half is blank. copy itself isnt to bad just dirty gray streaks down each side. put new samsung drum/toner unit in it couple months ago and have only done 100 copies or so. drum looks clean. would go get another unit but wondered if it could have a scanner problem. any ideas thanks
