How many prints does it have on the fuser and on the copier. Can you post an example pic?

I don't have a manual on the MX5000, I am guessing it is like the MX5001. The web cleaning unit needs to be changed and the black drum and developer. Your color drums are due at 100K. Not sure how your machine is set, but it should give a code or stop when the web unit has run out.

If you have two machines doing the same thing, then I would think it is a setting that is wrong for the weight/gloss of paper.

sounds like temp is too low or paper type is wrong

there are 3 different tech tips(covering 3 different series of color mfp) in US . They all refer to toner flaking and/or overtoning. The solution in the tech tips are the mfp has not been calibrated or calibrated correctly. fuser temp issue usually causes smearing of the toner or repeat image on the page , after about 3 copies or so. Over the years I have seen this on HP printers and other mfps and all settings are correct on the device and that the issue was application related. Usually a adobe product , Quark or other Graphics software. The color settings in the software are set to dark(probably not the right term) and it lays to much toner on the page. Sometimes trying different brand of paper or setting machine to heavy paper would help. But the main thing that you can do is make sure fuser has been replaced with new one or rebuilt with new bearings and pressure springs. Calibrate the mfp using either service manual or calibration bulletin. check 25--1 in sim mode if the developers show a value below 128 they may be overtoned.
