    [Misc] Sharp MXC300W Receiving Emails

    Hi everyone,

I have noticed when setting these machines up for scanning that there is a POP3 section, but as yet have never done anything with this. Is it possible to email these machines? If yes will it simply print the email out? will it print an attachment to the email?

The copier will print the attachment to the email. You can include certain commands in the body of the email (such as number of copies, duplex, which tray, etc.).

I believe that the email must be sent as Plain Text.

The files would have to be either image files (jpeg, gif, tif, etc.) or a PDF (if PostScript installed).

Refer to TT-13849, TT-20138, and TT- 20139 for more details.

Go into Application Settings, E-mail Print Settings and trick for me was do NOT check POP Authentication !
You should not need POP before SMTP in Net Settings. Be sure when sending email to the chosen mail account that you do not include a logo or anything else, works fine with no additional data, just an attachment PDF/JPG.
Or you can use the plain text control lines per bulletins for additional options.
