Re: Chrome Book Printing
Thank you for that. In my post I should have stated this customer does not have any type of server and/domain network. Thanks again!

Re: Chrome Book Printing
Okay, well If the machine dont have GCP support you will need some 3rd party stuff to fix it. You can always go with the Lantronix printserver for Google CloudPrint. No need for any server. Just plug it into the network and configure it using a webbrowser. Simple but a bit slow, but will help you make your customer happyComment

Re: Chrome Book Printing
Sounds like a good solution. However, there has to be an app to make this work w/o additional hardware. I realize that apps are not going to save the world and i will present this to client while i continue searching. Thanks.

Re: Chrome Book Printing
cloud print.pdf
The attached page is from google cloud print support, I have a school that uses chrome books and are printing to a-mx 5110n and I have used google cloud print to print to our mx2610n. The issue is that to be able to print to a Classic printer(google term for non cloud ready printer), is you have to setup cloud print on a pc running chrome browser then on the chrome book you have to login with that google account to be able to print. Starting with the 40 series mfps there is firmware for google cloud print and then setup is down in mfp webpage. Check out the attached doc and go to the google cloud print support site . also there is a windows connector app from google that is supposed to make having multiple chrome books print to a network printer,
Also the classic printer method works with most any non goggle cloud printer.
sorry copytech net kept crashing, multiple posts.Last edited by faxman28; 07-01-2016, 04:15 PM.Comment

Re: Chrome Book Printing
follow the directions on the attachment, also go to the google cloud print support site (were attached page is from) the windows connector helps with multiple chrome books printing to one printer, I have schools using chrome books printing to sharp mx xx10 series copiers, the mx-xx40 series has fw update to make these a google cloud print. Previous MFPs like the one you have and the mx xx10 series have to be setup as classic printers.Attached FilesComment
