    MX-M464 - Light printing

I have a MX-M464 that copies, faxes and internal prints are fine. When they try to print from Word, Excel or a PDF, they are very light.

I tried printing directly from my laptop using a PCL and UPD driver and the prints are very light.

I flashed the firmware, replaced the Process control sensor(the one under the transport roller) and the MFP PWB.

I have also performed a complete calibration. At 44-26 and 61-11, I received Error K. At 46-74, everything prints fine until it prints the Printer Calibration adjusted patch, which comes out very light. TC64-5 prints out light as well.

Does anyone have an idea? Any help would be appreciated.

There is a memory chip for copying, and one for the prints - reseat or replace, and see if that helps.

I agree. Replace the SD card. Then do an emergency firmware update. Be sure there is nothing else on the USB flashdrive other than the firmware.

Thanks for the help. I did get it fixed. I did TC 56-2 EEPROM & SD data export from another MX-M464 and imported into the machine in question. Recalibrate and test ok.
