[Misc] 'system settings disables printing of incoming fax data'

Hello,

I've just been emailed the attached by a client.

I haven't seen this before.

I've asked him to check that data forwarding is disabled (which it was).

They're a 4 hour round trip, so I'd rather fix over the phone if possible.

Any help would be great

In the tray settings there are boxes to enable fax printing. They may not have fax printing enabled for any tray.

Ok, I'll ask them to check, would that cause this message?

They have two MX5112's and it's only happening on one.

Yes, It will. Some user may have changed it without knowing what it does.

Some times if a machine is doing something crazy and I have looked all over the settings for an answer without seeing a solution I will clone a machine with the same features then import them into the troublesome machine. It doesn't tell me what the solution was but as a last resort it has been the FIX.
