[Electrical] Personal Counter

I have a Sharp MX-B402 with an error code displayed on the control panel " PC Call Adminstrator " according to the Service Manual this means The Personal Counter in not installed. or it could also mean The Personal Counter is not detected. The Remedy is to check connection of the connectors and the harness. Replace the SCU-PWB. My question is Where is the Personal Counter Located because nowhere in the service manual does it tell you. could you please help.

There are settings in sim 26-3 for this. If you have access to the Sharp IDNC web site there is an installation manual for this. It is the DVEND_FS manual. Just walk it backwards.

I had this once...there is a jumper missing on the scanner control board...apparently a counter was removed, but they did not save the original jumper...you may have to study the schematic for the board to determine which pins to jump...when you remove the back cover. the board is mounted horizontal...towards the top of the machine...
