    Sharp AR-M257 garbled image

    Hello everyone.
I went to an AR-M257 on Friday with garbled image while scanning a document either through the DF or off the glass. I cleaned optics (because they were dirty, not because I thought it would fix it. lol) I also re-seated the ribbon cable on the CCD and on board in back of machine. The image is fine for printing and receiving faxes. I have posted a sample. Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

swap out CCD unit under the dark box, if that fails scanner control board would be my next option.

I would test another laser polygonal motor, I've seen this before and that solved it.
If you have another machine of this family you'd swap motors to test:

      Sharp AR267 317, FG FP G s*Sharp ARM256 M257 M258 M316 M317 M318 or Sharp AR5625 5631
      (all same family).

It prints fine and incoming faxes are ok as well so the laser is good.
I have ordered CCD, ribbon cable and MCU board on Monday. Will updated once they are installed.
