    MX-M354N PM SERVICE

Travelling to repair an MX-M354N with black lines. Customer sees them on drum and fuser roller. PM way past due. Bringing developer also, but does the main charger clean up well, or should it be replaced? Approx. 200k meter. Have only replaced tray tires so far. Thanks!

Just finished one of those last week. Replace the drum, along with the drum cleaning blade and a replacement charge unit. Drum units are "Rated" for 300K...but they can fail early if damaged. I wouldn't worry about developer just yet unless you're seeing a VK maintenance code. It's rated for 600K. If you're also seeing a line on the fuser roller, you might want to bring an Upper Fuser Roller maintenance kit as well.

    Good Luck.

Sorry, I meant to type 400k meter. So the dv may be a bit early, but I like to do it with a new drum for best c.q. I take it I should not attempt to clean the main charger, but replace it... Thanks so much.

DV is rated the same as the drum...100K for both...I suggest changing the drum, dev and MC...clean it well...heat roller is rated for 150k and press roller is rated for 300k...you may need both...

Whoever sold it must have the maint indication off. I'm bringing drum, blade, dev., and the UFR & LFR kits. Will have to clean the mc as it would be days to get here. Besides resetting the maint count, drum & dv counts, I recall similar models have no dv calibration or setup. Is this still true? Is there a "dirt correction". That's going waaay back to SF2014's!

it sounds like you'll have what you need...reset the counters in sim 24...dev set-up is 25-2...run the sim twice...I think this one sets dev WITHOUT the toner cartridge installed...
