Sharp SF 2025 Flashing AE Code

Have a Sharp SF 2025 that is flashing an AE code and the auto exposure light is flashing. The exposure bulb is also not coming on. This is the second machine in this location to do this, so I am assuming the electrical outlet is power surging or something along those lines. I tried replacing the exposure bulb with no change. The exposure light does not come on in any print mode, however in manual exposure the flashing AE does go away. I am returning to site in AM to change out boards and or fuses. Any ideas and or suggestions would be appreciated.

The flashing AE means it could not do AE cal. when first turned on, when first turning the macb. on the exp lamp should light for a brief moment to cal. AE.
Check your AC PWB, you may have a bad board, most times its the triac on the board that causes the prob.

I've got two pertinent records, Bluecopy:

Black copies, that usually jam in the fuser. "AE is malfunctioning. Select manual exposure to copy normally." indication. Blown optical thermal fuse, because the optical fan filter and fuser fan filters are obstructed. Clean or remove the fan filters. Confirm fan operation. Replace the optical thermal fuse (CFS-T0101FC31).

Black copies using AE mode only. Manual & Photo mode copies are normal. Cold solder joints on the AC Power Supply PWB. Repair cold solder joints on the AC Power Supply PWB. Especially check F201, TD202, TD201, J201, R203, L204, & C213. (AC power supply PWB: CPWBF1135FC51? Or QPWBF1135FC51?)

      Good luck! =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Assuming you tested the lamp in 5-3, & checked the copy lamp fuse ? Run sim 22-15 to get your trouble codes. Blackcat was correct but these machines would give black copies in AE mode only when the supplies were run past due. Putting into toner save mode or setting manual mode as an initial status setting would get the machine operational until you can change supplies. Check 44-2 & 44-3 are in range. If memory serves it should be 204 when adjusting the pots.
        Hope that helps !

          Lamp woes

If all else checks good, check the end terminals on the lamp, I have seen them oxidize and not make good contact and the lamp would not light, clean the contacts with a small screwdriver or spring push, make it shiny and it will work, as long as it ohms out good.
