    AR205 Paper jam

Hi, I am getting an flashing error light indicating paper jam. There is a red arrow pointing to the "extra" tray, which I understand is the bypass tray.

There are not jams in the machine, so I am assuming that there must be a faulty or blocked sensor. I am not a copier tech per se, but a facilities manager that repairs all of my employer's electronics.

If someone could please point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated.

If someone could tell me where I could find a parts or repair manual, that would be appreciated also,

    Thank you,

    Jerry

"Extra" is not a tray or that it needs more paper. "Extra" is a paper size. The most common problem is for users to program incorrectly the size of paper placed in one of the trays. Do you have your user's manual? There is a very detailed explaination in there. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

          Hi,
If memory serves me right you need to press the button to select the a4 tray. sounds as if someone has being using the by pass tray and it is out of paper.
