    MX-M904 with flasing power indicator

Custome called saying issues with finisher , jamming etc. When stopped by this morning there was no display. The power indicator is flashing.

Have never serviced this machine. Tried pressing home button twice to begin service mode but no change. Any help here is appreciated. Frank Action Photocopy

SD Card or MSATA or maybe Hard Drive?

        Are there fans running?

If they are running then it is probably the mSATA as previously mentioned.

If not then it is one of the DC PWBs, probably the Sub DC PWB located on the left side of the copier next to the finisher. Just had this happen a couple of weeks ago. One of the soldered in fuses had blown causing this condition....

        Good luck.

Unplug the HDD and boot up the machine. If it comes to an E7-03, the HDD is the issue.
Additionally, you can look at the MFP board itself and look for the illuminated LEDs, I believe this model had 4 which should be lit.

Thank bilyahn + mojorolla for your info. As I had no experience on this machine and have noit expertise I told customer to look for someone with experience on this model. Frank

IDK what I was thinking, this model does NOT have an mSATA but an SD card and program ROM. LOL Mojorolla is correct about the lights. In the condition I stated none of the LED lights were lit.

              Sorry for the mis-information.

DC Power supply most likely. Same symptom happens to Polaris machines and is the same fix....

Got the same issue. One of our engineers attended site with the device stalled in the middle of a print job. Removed HDD and E7-03 error.

He requested a HDD (1TB SATA) and I returned to fit.

Replaced HDD and screen is dead with blinking LED on op panel. Checked controller and all four LEDs are illuminated.

Installed old HDD to see if issue with new HDD and issue still the same. All fans are running.

This is the only MFD of this type we have in Field and up till now it's caused no issue.

Any info on fix would be appreciated or a start point. Does this MFD boot via the HDD or are we looking at a faulty DIMM?

I would almost guarantee it's a faulty SD card
