    [Misc] New HDD MX3140

    Hello,

i know, if you put a new HDD in an MX3140, partitions are made when starting up and all i good.

But what happens if you put a HDD of 1 Terabyte in the machine?

Does the machine make a partition of the standard 320G? Or can it use the whole Tera?

My impression is that it only uses the standard size partition.

If you print the 22-6, you see 1000GB, but i can only upload the same amount of printjobs on the hdd.

    So can that be changed?

    There is no issue.
The machine Takes the new tb-hdd. It will be make a lot of partitions. I Never have reached the Borders of the partitions.
The file-System is also Limited by files.
The Details of the Limitation you will find them in the Manuel.

There is no advantage to change the size of the hdd .

the size of the new hdd Must be min. The same of the Original . Bagger is possible.

We have a client who succeeds to fill the whole hdd, thats why i want to place a bigger one. But that doesnt seem to help.

MX6240, mx5112, mx3640 take all the files, but the mx3140 doesnt.

Thats why i asked about the partitionsizes.

We tested here and the mx5112 makes a partition of 8GB on any disk (320GB, 1TB).

We succeeded to enlarge the partition, and the machine boots, but havent tested further.
