    Side seal Powder

    I recently ordered some
UKOG-0309FCZZ side seal powder from Sharp they also had some little spatulas to apply it to the seals.
After doing so I noticed that I could buy a similar tool form amazon for a lot less you get 10 for less that one cost from Sharp
Sunnyglade 10PCS 2 in 1 Stainless Steel Lab Spoon Spatula/Laboratory Sampling Spoon Mixing Spatula
I havent gotten them yet so I cant compare but I suspect I wouldnt have paid that much had I checked amazon first.
While on the topic I Checked what stearic acid really is and how much it costs if not in dusting bags or from a Office equipment Mfg
About $14.00 for 5 Lbs and less in larger amounts. Has anyone ever tried this sourced outside the Business equipment world.

Vacuum side seals every time you disassemble a drum, if they don't vac clean, replace them, there is contamination, that will eventually wear the edges of the drum down..and cause dv pull.. have tried to powder them, but if something has adheared to the fabric, it will eventually scratch the drum, to the point of toner/then dv pull
Where the heck is my spring hook?

We are currently not using this side seal powder. Is it worth it? Does it really reduce the drum wear significantly?

I saw it first at 7500 School and instructor reccomended it. On another post a tech said they are using it on other models and they think it is helping.

If it saves one developer or drum it will be worth the cost.

I like that idea BTW the spatulas from amazon were huge really to big for this.
