[Misc] 2 Sided Scanning - Skip Blank Pages MX-M5070

    Hello All,

I am configuring some of our users to scan to network folder, but I want to set the scanning to do 2 sided and skip blank pages as the default.

I looked under the scan settings--> Condition Settings MX-M5070 Settings.jpg

This didn't seem to work, is there a way to set the options without the user having to change the setting on the scanning options.

I would like to set this on all scan jobs on this copier.

    Thanks,

Is there an "Initial Status Settings" page inside Scan settings? That's where you'd normally have to change it for it to be the default.

You could create a custom program and put a shortcut on the home screen.

To do that, go into Scan mode, configure everything like you're about to scan (including blank page skip), then on the right (check the dropdown menu) you should see "Register Current Program".

You can probably program the network folder destination for them too. Create one shortcut for each network folder destination (eg. "Scan to Julie's PC").

I believe to create a "scan program" you have to provide the destination.

So if there are only a few scan destinations this is the way to go.

If there are many destinations may not be practical to create a short cut for every destination.

            Thanks,

You set up the "auto scan settings" there...if you go to easy copy and select auto settings on the bottom.

I think the only way to do this is to create a "program registration" and save it to favorites or homepage.

Also, this will only work when you use the SPF.

If you use the OC, double sided scans won't work.

Thanks All for the help .. I working on programming buttons for my users...

              Scanning to network folder ..

Have another issue now - some of our documents are larger than the feeder tray and is there a way for pausing scan job.

Should they just add more pages before clicking the OK on the job menu when the first pages go through/sending the file to network folder.

              Nevermind...figured it out ...Thanks all
