    E7-61

Sharp MXM623N popped an E7-61 code today on the first day of school... Lol

Bad communication between PCU and MFP boards.

There have been no changes to the machine at all. They've been using it for 4 years with no issues. Still on a good surge protector. I unplugged the network cable in case of a corrupted print job, no change. Rebooted and unplugged, no change. Took out cleaned and reseated connections on MFP board. Reflashed firmware. No change. I'm headed to get a couple boards from a parts machine. I'm not even sure I can switch boards without eeprom issues or something else.

Any advice on this? The machine will not do anything.

I've replaced the MFP board (switched eeproms), no change. Replaced slave mother board, no change. Replaced PCU (switched eeproms), no change. Changed connector from PCU to MFP, no change. I flashed firmware after every board change. These boards are from a working 623. I cannot clear this code with any trouble cancellations in SIMs.

It seems you have tried all the usual steps, The next step I would try would be the SD card or hard drive.
It sounds very frustrating, with the age of the machine I would go with the SD card first.
