Sharp Color AR-BC320 jams before fuser

I changed the fuser rollers, as one had a flat spot. This solved the problem I had the last time I worked on one of these. This one however jams in different spots on the transfer belt, sometimes reaching the fuser but never half way. Sometimes it is curled on the lead edge as if it hit the fuser and the rollers werent turning. Most of the time it is all on the transfer belt with the lead edge lined up right on the edge of the transfer belt before leaving it. Sometimes it is hanging over just a little bit before entering the fuser. After 4 or 5 jams in a row it shows the error message, H5-01. I really need to fix this machine. Does anyone know this copier or has anyone seen this problem before. I really appreciate any help. Someone mentioned that he had a bad drive motor that caused a similar jamming, is that possible?

    Thanks, Kevin

If the rubber drive roller in the transfer belt unit wasnt cleaned during last belt change, sometimes the belt will skip on the roller causing a jam, usually the belt will squawk when it skips (kind of a giveaway). Just a likely possibility, I've never had any motor troubles with the BC series.
Where the heck is my spring hook?

I Had this problem when another tech used the starting powder from the MX color series on the transfer belt. Only way I could resolve it was to change the transfer waste tank assembly.

Replace the Transfer Belt Unit. Sounds like the belt is slipping, causing a timing problem within the paper path. I've seen this many times before. Especially happens when the edges of the belt start to crack/peel, which then tend to catch on the belt unit frame, slowing the belt speed down. I agree with Nachoman on the fact you will hear a squeaky noise from the belt unit as it slips.
If the lead edge of the page doesnt make POD1 sensor within specified time, you will always notice the page stops at different spots on the transfer belt.
Change the belt unit. Dont bother with refurbishing one, just replace the whole unit..... much more reliable.
        Easy one.

I resolved a problem similar to it by replacing the belt lift up motor.
