    sharp mx3140n

    hello
I do mostly toshiba but have been a tech since 1986
im working on an mx3140 that had lines in yellow and cyan so i replaced both drum kits no problem now the color is a little off so i wanted to do a color calibration
on toshiba its simple you just choose calibration in admin user mode it prints a chart you put it on the glass and hit start and your done
well with the 3140 I cant find a chart i try sim 63-3 46-74 plus others and nothing it even says enter sim sub number and press start ofcourse it doesnt say start it says color and mono
I need a definate sequence and method to calibrate the color please help this copier is making me look like an idiot
    thanks as usual

When you get to the sim, in the lower right corner has an execute icon. When that is pressed, the chart will print out. Then you put the light side with the thin line to the left side so it starts reading there. Then hit execute again. A couple charts print out. When it's done, you press ok. Sometimes some machines ask to use 11 x 17, I don't know why. Sim 46-24 & 54 also has an auto calibration too, if you wanted to go that far.

You press the Colour or mono buttons, they act as the start button, also i would do a full calibration. 44-2, 44-27, 44-6, 44-26, 50-22 (Turning the laser screws if out) then a 46-74, also remember to clean ID sensors before doing any process control sims.
Networking skills are advantageous but use of a 3m vacuum cleaner is essential

After doing the other sims you have to reboot the mfp before you can do 46-74
