I need to know and instruction if there is any way to update the meter to the proper meter internally. Some how my meter on a MX-M465N is off by 100k. It was fine in the morning and then in the afternoon it was off. MICAS reported with the proper meter in the morning and the next day it reported with the meter being 100k off. I am not sure what happened. Yes the 22-6 is also reporting the new meter as well. Please help..

I've never heard of machine doing that, but anything is possible. Start simple, are YOU SURE that the meters jumped? Don't rely on the most recent meters, look at older ones and make sure the meters changed in a normal way up until that point. Sometimes you have to do a little digging, maybe MICAS wasn't connecting for a while, and just NOW changed. I would rely on the machine's internal meters than any software, Sharp branded or not.Comment

Yes I am positive. When I went back into the history of this machine, all the way back to 2017, the meters are consistently increasing and now should be 241749. It reported properly to MICAS Friday morning. When the customer called in an provided a meter it to was within the proper range. At 1pm when the tech got there it was 163420. I called and had the customer read me the meter and it to was 163420. This morning when it reported it was 163438. I am not sure what happened.Comment

The fact that the meters dropped is quite concerning. Had a board been replaced between the report times? I believe that the only way to change meters anymore is to contact Sharp for a code and the information on how to get into the proper area to change them. They will ask you for a reason, and probably to provide any proof you can as to why you need to change the metersComment

The only time I've ever had machine "change meters" like what you're suggesting was when I pulled a board from a machine in the office to troubleshoot in the field, turns out it had a DSK on it, which then bricked the field machine. SO, I had to take all of the boards out of the shop machine and put it in the field machine, thus, transferring all of the data from the shop machine(serial/meters/maintenance counts, etc.) to the field machine.Comment

Thank you everyone for your feed back. I did have sharp fix the meter for me. No boards have been replaced in the machine, no power outage or surge happened, according to the customer. The machine is plugged into a power filter. I am 10000% baffled about this. Short of the customer going into the Simulation and messing with things, it is a complete mystery.Comment
