    mx-2651 K.O.

Good afternoon, I have two mx-2651 multifunctions which, after I updated the firmware to the Phoenix2_Griffin2_0613Z200_24030400 version, no longer turn on, the LED above the power button flashes continuously and does not start. The previous version on copiers was Ver. 1.00Z2. Any suggestions?

You might try a emergency firmware update. I am not positive but I think sharp is advising to turn off machine and restart before doing firmware so your problem does not happen. Also I think they recomend to unplug the network cord too. They call it CN update firmware procedure.pdf

I'd agree with Hansen. Also, that's a lot of difference in version, and at some point you can only go so far back. No Data Security Kit, correct?

Open the back, look above the mSata, and look at the 8 LED lights above it. Does all the LED lights turn on?
If so, that usually means that the boot is working. Maybe it's a bad CN33 cable or screen.

If all the LED lights do not light on, then most of the time it's the mSata, and HDD.

I would start with the mSata, then the HDD.
Only once I needed to replace the Flash Rom.
If not, then most likely it's the SCN MFP PWB.

        Good luck.

I tried changing the eMMC PWB with another multifunctional one with the firmware version Ver. 1.00Z2 and it started up again immediately, so I believe that skipping too many versions blocks the machine. Could someone send me an intermediate version like Ver. 3.00z2 or similar?

I bet the original mSata is workable on the other 2651 and it became the newer firmware. Tested?

When a newer firmware is on one component, the machine sometimes may not know what to do with all of the imbalance of info, and just fail to boot. If you would have done a CN update first thing after installing it, the machine likely would have booted fine because it's just rewriting all of the firmware regardless of it's current version. There are also some versions of firmware that certain components will NOT go back to, and you might see errors, or just failure to boot.
