    Email on Sharp Copiers

Is there any way to keep the customer from using email on copiers and still be able to use RED for messages and alerts. I thought there may be a soft switch setting or something like it I can set. If not how are you using the SMTP settings for alerts and not letting the customer use your settings for themselves.
Thanks for any help you can give.

Yeah, go to System Settings > System Control > Email Alert and Status > SMTP Settings > Uncheck "Use SMTP Server in [Network Settings]"

Sorry I didn't specify the models I know you can do that on the mx 51 and 71 series and also the BP series but I was hoping for something on the 50 and 70 series and older. But thank you for the response.

Maybe disable some of the settings here?

Alternatively you can just remove the scan-to-email button from the home screen. Can't scan without the button.

Also would need to disable the top left section, too, since you can get into it that way as well.
