Waste toner alerts

We have started using printanista. It seems to report well on the toners, with a 25% alert.

On the waste toner we only seem to be getting 100% then 0%

Does anyone know how to configure an alert on it.

There's nothing you can do. Sharp's don't even give a percentage on the machine itself. We send one out on the machine when installed, and put a label on the box, as well as telling multiple people there to CALL us when they use the waste box so they can get another one for the shelf since we can't track it.

I would see if there people in support at printanista that will work with you. When we started using PrintTracker we had this same issue with the waste toner containers and Sharps. It was either 100% or 0% Their response was that they could get any alerts to report showed up on the copier display. If you make sure every copeir has an extra waste container at install and you send one when your are alerted it hits 0% you will be good.

I just looked at one of our PT installs.
On 5/14/2025 a MX-3050V indicated an alert for "The waste is low".
On 6/4/2025 PT sent an email with the subject line "MX-3050V Waste at 0%". In the body it shows Alert: Replacement, A waste was replaced at (Customer name). It also gives the SN and location. So there was an alert for "waste low" 3 weeks prior to it needing replaced.

This copier also sent an email through the Alerts Setting.

Kpax is reporting 5% when the copier is telling "Waste almost full prepare one" (at least on the CR4.5 and CR5).
We send a new one when we have the message "Waste toner full" to replace the one they're supposed to have.
