    Re: parts on back order

I agree with mloudy. Parts that we keep normally stocked there are not too many issues. Anything out of the ordinary it just depends, ordered a staple cartridge and it took over a month to get and ETA was always listed as unknown but other items I get within a couple of days, go figure.

    Good luck

    Re: parts on back order

I would say about 6 months ago parts began to show up out of stock when I went to place orders. They would ship pretty quickly though. In stead of getting parts in two days has we have for years they may take a week or two. We order parts to restock and rarely because we are in need so it hasn't presented an issue. If it is a dealership has remote techs and the dealer has no actual parts stocked it would present a real problem. Most Sharp dealers don't operate this way but many other do.

A few fuser supplies have recently began to backorder but again we are restocking so I just warned the techs to make sure they were holding on to items that could be pushed a little further. Other than those fuser items I haven't be waiting on any other supplies but I have been told there are larger models we don't work on that have supply back orders.

From the stories I have heard it has been much better to be working on Sharp right now than most other OEMs.

    parts on back order

Just a quick question for other sharp tech out there, ya'll having issues getting parts and supplies, at a meeting the other day, they were talking of parts back order issues, I guess the shipping container snafu is still causing issues, what problems are you all having?
