    MXFN27N jam

Hello , I have a MX-FN27 and from time to time on the left side, it bites the leaves but not constantly only from time to time ,the ripple and when the following ones advance, they hit the one that is rippled making jamming or expelling it out of the finisher , I do not know if someone will have happened something similar , apparently everything is fine , but it keeps jamming some leaves ,thank you very much in advance.

There is an issue with your assist unit. There is an adjustment for it, it sucks to do, but in the end, we just replace the assist unit. We sent about 50 of them out just before Covid, and right after Covid hit, 3 or 4 of them had the issue and it wasn't fun. The entire thing takes 45 to 60 minutes to get apart and put back together, and to me, that's a waste of extra time if adjusting it doesn't work the first time and you have to pull it out another time. The FN27's are the WORST finisher to repair, and it's only going to get worse as the new BP model inner finishers are the exact same design with different covers. There is a manual that tech support sent me for it, it's pretty straight forward. Good luck.

Each tech carries a spare FN27N to swap out in the field while they rebuild a faulty one. Sometimes even one spare isn't enough unfortunately. I also bought a damaged MX-3070V for a few hundred dollars so the techs can test rebuilt finishers before they take them back.

We have gotten in many external finishers on low volume used machines and pulled them off before selling the copier. We have used these external finishers to replace several FN27N that continued to have problems. Sometimes the customer doesn't have room for an external and we do our best to keep these finishers running. The calls and repair time is very time consuming.
