So I'm having a few issues with our office's secondhand Sharp MX-3070N machine. Sometimes it seems to shut itself down overnight. However, when trying to boot the machine, we either can't (the green light by the power button is blinking, we usually wait it out), or we have issues with it bootlooping. It will also throw E7-80 and E7-90 error codes when we finally get it running. I'm pretty sure the mSata is corrupt/faulty so I plan to replace it. However, I don't have an equivalent machine to copy the firmware and such from. How would I go about trying to use a fresh unit in this thing? Do I just need to get a copy of the latest firmware? I also don't want to lose the network folder connection and everything that I've set up for it.
Sharp support says this machine is "dealer locked" and won't send me a copy of the latest firmware or guide me through what I need to do to replace the mSata. They say I have to use an authorized technician/retailer, the closest one being out of the state
Any help or advice is greatly appreciated! I'm pretty tech-savvy when it comes to things such as building PC's, but printers and copiers are a bit difficult for me.
