Hello, we are working on a 4070 with a control panel that wont come on. This machine is very low copy count so we got a running parts machine to try to fix this. The control panel works on the other machine. we have replaced the lvds board along with all other boards in machine,still no good. Now when putting all the parts back onto the parts machine now its panel wont come on. seeing if anyone ran into anything like this. Thanks

Yes, have seen that. Unfortunately.
That pesky ribbon cable where it connects to the MFP PWB. It's just... fun sometimes.
You have to be very careful with that connector. Too many tries and you end up with a bad cable.
If the end of the cable is messed up, you'll have to replace it.

We finally found a fix for this problem. We had 3 machines with same problem. Lucky they were all in our shop and not in customers office. It was fuse F-10 on mfpc board. I had seena bulletin about this fuse and connecting flat cables correctly,but didnt say where this fuse is located. To my eyes it is just about microscopic-right next to the flat cable. It is about the size of a pinhead. I jumpered the fuse and control panels work now.Comment
