This mjay be way off but...was this copier in a customers office and workin or did you just get this copier in. If you have the wrong P19 in there, it will not fire up. Just a thouht. Have gotten 550's/620's and 700s from other dealers/wholesalers that either switched the P19 with one from a different model or had a bad P19. -
All Sharp copiers have a signal from the main pwb to the power supply that turns on the power supply just as Blackcat says. I would try unplugging stuff like clutches and solenoids then power up the machine to see if there are shorts. I have never had a short cause a problem in a dragon before, but there is always a first. Good luck!Leave a comment:

The only time I've had "no power" on a Dragon, first I tried the power supply, then the Eeproms, then the MFP PWB. The confusing part was that there were no outputs from the power supply even when all the outputs were unplugged and only the 110VAC was connected. Apparently there is a signal from the MFP PWB that enables the power supply operation.
So in short, I would try the MFP PWB.Leave a comment:

Guest repliedUsually a very reliable power supply on this series.
Zootech is spot on, check the obvious things, then if you want to diagnose further, get the circuit diagram or replace the ac/dc power pwb's.Leave a comment:

Have you checked the AC power at the outlet, maybe a circuit breaker tripped? Does it have a surge protector installed, that might have blown? Check your fuses on the AC and DC power boards.Leave a comment:
