Thank you wtroll. I'll try that tomorrow. Today i played with the transfer roller and found out that the image is not being transferred completely to the paper but its still on the drum. So I adjusted the pressure for the transfer roller by making the plastic washer / wheel next to the gear on the transfer roller smaller about 2mm and I got decent image transfer ( better than before) but still not 100% like it should be. I still have on the top part of the image grayish area that I can't adjust or get rid of.
another thought. the side doors on this are bad about warping especially if the du4 duples is installed. usually this leads to have the image missing. but could cause ur issue also i would assume.
try pressing in on the door when u make a copy and see if it produces a better copy.
In fact it is very strange, in this model copier.
After of read every you try, and in three copiers at same time
for me you have a toner, drum or developer issue, that is common
in the three copiers, assuming that is you

Did you try changing main charger? or maybe something about it isn't right like not sitting right. If you have another process unit you could rule out the whole unit by swapping it out. Frank
i've seen two different problems that make a sky shot 'look like a mag roller', i thought the same thing when i saw it.
the first, and easier of the two to fix is; the gear on the transfer unit meshes with the drum and one wore down and sharpened the other, if you don't replace both at the same time the problem persists.
the other is the large drive pack that drives registration, drum drive, lots of things. a tooth or two break in there and you'll get cq problems
I've had the exact same issues 3x's in the past. One end looks like the ribs on the mag roller the other end looks somewhat ok. Beat my head off the wall tried everything and both turned out to be the LSU.Try adjusting the position before you swap it out cause you can adjust it. I found that out the hard way after replacing my first one the copies still looked crappy. Give it a shot!

The LSU unit was replaced almost a year ago...I was thinking about that, if it could be a problem, but I installed them same position as the old ones.
Did you have any problems with the transfer roller units?
Not really just the drive gear strips out at times
Yeah, i replaced those. The problem I'm having is that the drum is perfectly coated with black mage, but after the paper passes the drum, I have abbot 30-40% of ink on the drum and the copied image on the paper is not solid black.
So I thought there might be something wrong with the roller, which I replaced ,but same result.
