PPD2_N1 jams
This is a late reply, but for general info: the PPD2 sensor seems to fail a lot more frequently now than in the past; even though the same sensor is used in everything from the old ARM450 up to a Hercules. Often the sensor will test good, but still cause you problems.
One trick is to activate the sensor for several seconds instead of just doing a momentary test. You will sometimes see the state begin to switch back and forth.

Problem solved.
The motor (RRM Drive motor) that drives the resist roller had come out of position.Leave a comment:

Had a similar problem with a MX5001 and it was due to a cleaning blade flipping on the black drum. It would jam in the same place everytime and give a PPD2 code. Take out the primary transfer belt and look at your drum units to see if any of them are covered in toner.
Good luck.
