[CQ] Sharp mx-2700 printing multicolor background on black and white copies

I have a Sharp mx-2700 that has an issue when printing black and white copies. On larger jobs (100+), the first 100 or so will come out fine, but then you'll start to see a yellow streak on the very rear edge from lead to trail, then eventually the whole background is multi colored, almost like tie-dyed. It's a rough surface, so it's pulling developer. The machine eventually codes out with a toner abnormaility code (in our case Magenta F2-66), we assume because it just can't keep up with feeding toner. You can still see the black image (although barely when it lays down all the colors).

    Anyone seen this before?

This can be one of 2 things. Either a faulty/damaged/worn transfer belt cleaning blade (if the multi-colored streaks also are greeny-purple) or faulty/damaged/worn drum cleaning blades (if the multi-colored streaks are the same as the toner colors only).

If the toner streaks are exactly the same color as the toners only, then you have worn drum blades. You can either change the drum units or rebuild the drum units with the new blade/MC grid unit.
If the streaks are a darker mixture of all colors, with greeny-purple color through it, then your problem is the belt unit cleaning blade/unit. You will either need to replace the whole belt unit, or rebuild it with the primary belt maintenance kit (including blade & belt).
