heya guys i recently did an installation on one of these machines and noticed that if i put 81/2 x 11 in top paper feed tray and 81/2 x 14 in second tray, when i place my original on the glass or spf to make a copy it dont automatically select the correct size paper, i need to manually select what size paper i want to copy, can someone clarify why is dont auto switch the paper feed trays automatically? thanks in advance.

Under System Settings/ Device Control “Default Original Size Settings” / Copy - set
to 8.5x11 and under “Original Feeding Mode” / Copy set to Mixed Size Doc. Same

In that same menu you can also setup the image send to "Long Size" so it will do auto paper size detection when sending faxes and scans. The only down side is when that option is enabled by default color scanning cannot be done. You must set the original size manually.
