Help scanning odd size on AR-M620N

I'm having difficulty scanning and creating a PDF of a document with pages that measure 9 inches wide and 12 inches tall. I've tried setting the original size to a custom 12-1/4 (X) and 9-1/4 (Y), but when the PDF is created it looks like it only scans 8.5x11 of the area on the pages. Is there a way to adjust the output that appears on the PDF so that it will include the entire image.

This is a book that I'm scanning by manually laying each page on the scanning bed if that matters.

That paper size is bigger than the maximum for regular single page scan or copy, so I think you're only shot at this is to reduce the scan size to maybe 90-95%.
We dont use Inches here in Australia, so I'm not sure how your machine is auto-detecting the size of the original, however it is close to our regular A4 or your Letter size, but still bigger. You'd get a margin cut-off anyway ontop of already size loss.

Either use the reduction mode or maybe trick the auto-size sensors by placing a slightly larger sheet of paper over the book when on the glass. The machine will detect the next paper size up (again, I'm not sure about the Inches thing....) and maybe scan your image at correct size.

Any other takers on this who know abit more about inches & the associated settings. Ours are too easy.... either A4 or A3. Cant go wrong.

Thanks for the suggestion, but reducing the size to 90% doesn't seem to make any difference in what area of each page ends up in the PDF file. It still seems to be imaging only an area 8-1/2 by 11.

I don't have a Dragon to check, but the Dragon3 models have an Inch 3 settings of 8.5x13 2/5th. This might help get most of the image if the ARM620 has that option. It's in Device Control under System Settings, look in the Original Size Detection area.

The max original size in scan (and copy) mode is 11" x 17".
I think you could create your pdf.
Try to change from "auto" to "11 x 17" size under the "original" button on your lcd.
The custom size "9-1/4 x 12-1/4" would have to work too.
