    AR-M276 background

I have this under contract. It has around 565k and i never changed the whole developer unit. The problem is that is doing a backgroung on thw whole page and around text or printed drawing's it has a white area. To temporarly fix the proplem i did switched form ''AUTO'' mode to ''TEXT/PHOTO''. I does the background from print to and with new drum+developer+mc.
I don't want to replace the dev unit now and i don't have a close machine where to test it.
If u download the picture and zoom it u can see that the right pages are printed in ''auto'' mode and the left one's are printed in '' text/photo''. Ofc that the print quality in text/photo isn't as good as espected but it's ok for now.DSC_4664.jpg

Is this across the entire page or just near 1 end?

Ive seen back ground with lots of white around wording on a ARM350. The mag roller became dirty with toner sticking to it but it was never across the entire page, usually just at one end. I used a scotch brite pad and scrubbed the crap off and it went away. (I have a ARM350 and it's always a adventure on what it's going to do to me at PM time) Can't say ive seen it on a ARM237.

i can see a ghost image on the right copies. Maybe check for poor cleaning or discharge problem.

Did you replace the entire MC unit with a AR310NC? Did you replace the cleaning blade as well as the drum?

If you have additional memory installed on the IMC pwb, check if a chip resistor is installed on the back of R332 (IMC pwb). Replace the IMC pwb if its not there.

I can see a ghosting image as well, so ensure the cleaning blade is good and correctly positioned and the fuser rollers are in good condition.

The firmware is out-of-date as well. This has been upgraded from the version installed on your machine. Although there are no C/Q issues/fixes in the newer version releases, still ensure that this is done.

Check the side door is sitting properly and the transfer contacts are good or clean them.

I did put a new drum + MC + blade and without transfer the drum was charged the same. i will check again with fuser but i do belive the problem is the developing unit and it's age.
