    time for maintenance mxm700n

    sharp mxm700n
I am new to this machine. I have a service manual but can't find how to determin which item needs maintenance. The screen just says time for maintenance. other machines give a code or something to go by. I dont like just resetting counters until I know what i'm resetting. Elementary I know but help please.

The typical 300K maintenance includes drum, cleaner kit, fuser kits, developer, & feed rollers. I don't recommend just clearing counters. At 300K this machine does need maintenance. Do you need help with part numbers for the kits? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

so there is no way to tell what maintenance it needs you have to shotgun it.
I have the parts I would need, but it would have to be something causing the
      call for maint.

It's not "shotgun". At 300k these things need to replaced. Period. There is only one maintenance indication 300K, that's it.

If you're looking for lots of return calls, you could just shut off the light, then next week replace the drum. Then the week after that replace the fuser. Then the week after that ... you get the idea. If you want to look incompetent, that's a good way to start. =^..^=

no I meant there is no ca,vk,aa, no indicator which normally go with maintenance.
          but thanks for your input.

You can also take a look a the fuser cleaning web , the maintenance comes up when the web is ended or the actuator slipped away. If this happens the Maintenance displayed cannot be cleared.

If you go to sim 22-1 you can check to see when the drum and dv counters are at. There is only this message. All things come due at the same time.
