Re: Sharp MX-M620N Error E7-03
yup, looks like it needs to be replaced or if you have the capabilities to reformat it via another machine or if you have a USB to SATA/IDE Adapter you can format it via your computer. Worth a try to reformat, might just be corrupted data. Of course that is if there is actually a HDD on the machine.
I was given one of the following by a Long Time tech and found this to be handy when Hard drives go wonkie. It allows me to reformat with my notebook on site allowing for quicker diagnostics of the HDD problem and faster resolutions. It is as Manhattan Hi-Speed USB 2.0 To SATA/IDE Adapter. If you have regular issues with HDD I would recommend this in with your tools.
MANHATTAN : Hi-Speed USB 2.0 to SATA/IDE Adapter
Hope you get it working.
I'm just thinking of swaping out the hard drive for a new on.
Not sure on the type of HD to get because I have not pulled it yet.
So most likely it's a SATA drive that the MX-M620N takes ?
Thanks !Leave a comment:

Have you tried formatting it in "super secret service mode"? However, if it shows 0mb, you most likely have a bad HDD.Leave a comment:

Re: Sharp MX-M620N Error E7-03
Thanks for your reply sir,
The problem now is that I can't get into sim 62 at all, when I hit the enter key nothing happens at all.
I tried to do a sim 14 to clear the code and that rebooted the machine and then the E7-03 code came back.
So is it time for a new HD ?
Thanks for any help anyone can give me.

Re: Sharp MX-M620N Error E7-03
Try Sim 62-2 to see if the HDD is able to read/write. Check the HDD harnesses making sure to check connector pins making sure they are not bent in.
61-1 is a HDD format. This might be the way out. It could also be a communication from the MFP control PWB giving errors but I am not sure how to determine this except by taking the HDD out and testing it on a computer or another copier. More likely a HDD error and hopefully you can re-format and with that fix everything.
Hope this helps and Good Luck!!!
