    [Misc] 407 scanner slam

Anyone remember 407 scanner slam, its been so long since I had one do this or even seen one up close. I believe it is a specific pulley or wire shift. Its not the pwb and motor. something simple I just don't remember yet. Either way good for kicks it breaks the normal day to day.
    Thanks SC3

    Re: 407 scanner slam

It's usually the board, but occasionally the motor also. Keep in mind that as these machines get older, every machine in the graveyard has bad scanner PWB, bad PCU, bad power supply, all very common and no usable spares in the graveyard. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I'm not sure if this causes the scanner slam but look at the white rollers that the scanner cable are run around. I have had these go bad all of the time.

      Good luck.

I think you are correct, the one pulley under the black roller gets sticky thats why the scanner slams insted of coding.
the bearings are not the best for that app. thanks for the memory jog.
