Sharp MX-M620 having copy and print quality issues

Have a Sharp MX-M620 that i just added to my fleet and i am having some quality issues. The text is OK but when copying/printing any solids i have a shadow on the left side of the solid shape. Lets say i made a copy of a square it looks like i took the square and dragged it to the right leaving drag marks to the left of the square. They machine only has 124K on it. Does anyone have any ideas?

I pulled the laser and cleaned all the mirrors even though all was clean. DV unit seems to be rotating freely. I'll double check the doctor blade gap and the mag height and report back.

DV Unit is within all specs. Does anyone know of a way to test the LSU for this problem. The LSU passes the sim 61-1 with "OK"

          Hi,
It sounds like an over-toning problem.
Enter in secret simulation (# * CA #) 80-02 and record showed value.
This value was recorded with last auto-toner reg. (SIM. 25-02).
Try to increase (20 point at time) this value.
Print 50-100 copies and check quality.
If there is no variation you always can restore the initial density value.
Remember, value increased = less toner. Value decreased = more toner.
          Good luck!

Sounds like LSU skew. Run SIM 64-1 AKA Adj3A in the service manual.

Failing to plan is planning to fail!!!

I did make an interesting observation while diagnosing my problem. when copying in auto, text, text photo i still had the same quality issues, but when going in to the photo mode copies are coming out clear and crisp. I am going to check the high voltage values and report back.

After checking the voltages most were off by only 2 volts but it made a big difference.

All is well. I ended up tweaking the TCS value and adjusting the voltages on the HV PWB and all seems to be in working order thanks everyone for your ideas.

I'd re-check the dv gap. ie..cougars Especially if the shadow varies F-R
