    Sharp MX-2300N service code L4-06

OK, So I have the service code above. I can't get into the service menu to clear it. I had it written down, and somehow lost it . I remember it was a sequence with the Red Clear button and the Black Copy/Print but for the life of me I can't get in. Anyone able to help, is the only printer in the office and we can't make labels, shipping copies or print checks!

L4~06 isn't something you can just 'Clear down', there is a problem with the Primary Transfer Belt.

Get a suitably Qualified Engineer to check the machine or be prepared to pay for a complete set of Drum units if you just clear down this error code and continue to run the machine.....

      Thanks

Turns out the "Qualified Engineer" I had out yesterday to clean and remove the Streaks it kept printing forgot to tighten the screws behind the used toner container causing the belt to be off alignment. Re-Aligned, tightened the screws and all is well. Thank you for your response.

If you paid Good Money for Crap Service, then get the half trained Ape back and make him earn his money.... after bawling out his Service Manager.

Securing the Primary Transfer is basic..... and the 'streaks' you refered to are related to up~grade required to the Cleaner Unit on the PTB, if that was not done and he just 'cleaned' the unit, the streaks will return... causing more physical wear to the PTB

          Again Thank you!

Thank you for the great advise on the upgrade. I Have already scheduled him to come back out and will make sure that he does this correctly, seems foolish to pay someone for something I needed to fix myself the next day! Your help is greatly appreciated!
