      Hey!
We head same mistake on MX3501 & MX 2300.
You tried Calibration like diskripted in Bulletin SB-038?
Bad Image only on ordinary Copy Paper?
According to my records the Problem is gone when using
Color Copy Paper. Like HP Color Laser 90g.
I think the Prob comes from Secondery or Primary Transfer Unit.
      Any Ideas out there?
      Cheers!

i do not know this boletim.

the problem is not in the paper, because the paper is the same that always work good in this copier.

        thanks

This would be where I would start as well. The odds of 4 bad DV's is pretty slim. Have you done a panic stop to see if the image is faint on the drum? Been awhile since I worked on that model, does that one have the laser shutters that are actuated by the waste toner bottle? Had that kick my butt on one machine one time.

Enter SIM 44-14 and see what the humidity level is. The older color Shafrp are sensitive to moisture. Pull off the panel under the mag roll on the DV units. If there is excessive moisture, the DV will clump here. Only way to get moisture from DV is to change it. To calibrate, I run 44-2, 44-13 (with the jig), 44-26 (44-27 if the DV material was changed, then 44-26), 46-24 and 67-24. You could also calibrate the CCD (63-3+5) before running the patch calibrations.

The previous post about paper is correct. Sharp recommends that you always calibrate with 28 lbs 96 bright Hammermill. The patches are much better with high quality paper. The machine sets up at the optimal density. When the customers goes back to the cheap stuff, the image will be noticeably different. If you calibrate with cheap paper, the machine thinks that those patches are the best of the best. The machine will always try to hit the level of quality. The high quality paper sets the overall target of the machine higher.

              thanks all.

i will try, but in the moment i m getting the 44-26 error, and i haven`t the jig tool.

i do not to, if i can fix the 44-26 error without the jig.

i do no,t if the bad quality was because i get a 44-26 error?

44-26 is for half tones so if this is off, the copy will look off.

I have seen this before.. Make sure the dev is good and the tops are clipped back on correctly (had a top screwed on but not clipped in before)

The problem is pretty much moist paper in my opinion.
Either you have used open paper, or paper of bad quality.

Use moisture free paper and start the calib again, Do the long calib too.

                      /2cents.

                        thanks all.
I, waiting the jig tool, because i have a 21 value in the 44-13, and i think that is out of the factory value, so, i do a new all calibration.

                        thanks friends

                          Hey friends
                          the issue was fixed.

i used the jig, and perfom a full calibration, how is in the handy guide.

                          the quality is good now.

                          thanks.
