MX-M950n - 'Close Right Side Cover' on display

Installed MX-LCX4 onto MX-M950n and are getting a message on the display telling us to close right side cover. We did remove the MX-MFX1 bypass tray to install the LCT and are thinking we need the dummy connector that is removed to install the side bypass unit. Does anyone know this to be the case or is there another right side cover we're not aware of?

If the dummy connector is what we need, does anyone know the part number for it?

    Thanks,

    -oes

Did you remove the right cabinet cover and LCC transport paper guide? You do not need a dummy jig.

We purchased this machine used. The machine already had the MX-MFX1 bypass tray installed. We had to remove that tray to install the MX-LCX4. We figured out by hooking up the MX-MFX1 and activating the open/close switch that the dummy connector (installed from the factory and removed when you install the bypass unit) was required. We remedied not having one by running a jumper wire between the top two pins of the connector on the copier.

          Gotta love used sh%&.
The jumper is there if no bypass tray is installed and comes standard with the engine.

Yup, I ended up finding it in the parts manual under the frame section. We just used a jumper wire as thats all the connector is of course. It's good information for future forum users though!
