MXM850N L4-06 error

    MXM850N L4-06 error

    yes guys has been one of those weeks, been having lots off MFP problems,the error says developer motor Problem, i have done a visual inspection on the developer drive gear, the developer unit seems ok,however when i try to rin simulation 25-1 nothing happens, the motor wont turn, i dont have a motor to change at the moment,have you guys experienced L4-06 error code with this MFP?thanks again guys, i cant live without this site

    I am think the code is a L4-04. before i throw in a motor,i would check to see if you have 38 volts(dc) to the motor.when you go into test command 25-1 does it go right into the L4? good luck..rainmaker

        Please verify that code for us. Agree that you probably mean L4-04 as this model has no L4-06 code. Have had dv units that seemed ok but replacing the unit fixed the problem anyway. Check the voltage to that motor as per rainmaker. Also check that drum turns freely and blade has not flipped. Longshot-----updating firmware can also occasionally solve problems.
