    mx6201 fuser exit roller

I have 3 mx6201's that periodically get toner caked on the fuser exit roller. It cleans off but will come back within sometimes a day and sometimes a month. Anyone else have this issue and come up with a solution? It has never happened on the mx7001 we have in the field, which is weird since it's basically the same machine as the 6201. We set the fuser temps all back to default which seemed to help, but it came back eventually.

    Thanks for any help.FUSER.jpg

We have a 7001 that does the same thing. I've tried doing full calibrations thinking the density was a little too heavy, but have not had any luck. I'd be curious to see what responses you get.
    Hope that helps !

      Re: mx6201 fuser exit roller

Received this info from Sharp. This seems to have fixed our problem

Step 1. Reduce all ready & plain temps for color & b/w in 43-01 & 43-04 by at least 5 degrees, no more than 8 degrees. (If trays are set as recycled etc etc, change those values too).
Step 2. Replace (or even completely remove) the filter at the upper rear corner. This is the exit exhaust from the fuser/delivery unit.
Step 3. Clean the exit rollers (or install a new fuser unit if due).
      Step 4. Problem solved.

Its a bit of trial and error, but depending on machine location & room temps/environment, anywhere between 5 & 8 degrees reduction in those sims has totally solved the issue here.

Obviously make sure firmware is current, but the real fix after that is the temps down and having a clean or removed filter.
The filter is just a dust filter, not an ozone filter. The exhaust duct is only from the delivery unit.

Also replace the Developer seal and developer since the seal is probably bad and it will have thrown some developer out of the unit.
I know I should be ashamed of myself. Strangely though, I am not.
