It's supposed to but I very rarely change the default password so wasn't sure if it actually worked or not!!

Had no idea if it would or not, I'm in the same boat. Most of the times when the passwords do get changed now they wind up being reset at the first service call, and they wind up being the default anyways because the customer never changes them back after...

So the key op reset also cleared the web page to the default?

You're showing that you have a U version? Did you install the print controller board? If you have then you should be able to reset the NIC card in key op mode. That should reset the admin password for the web page. I'm assuming that since if you didn't I don't think you can access the web page with the straight U version??

Bil - you're correct... and I was able to go thru the key op and reset.

thanks for clarifying which one I am speaking of... it is in fact the "web" page.

I will try going through the key operator section and let you know if that works; probably tomorrow.

Just to be clear, by admin page are you referring to the key op password menu, or the admin login for the web page?

The web page password is case sensitive, Sharp must be entered as such.

The key operator code can be displayed by sims, but as far as I can gather from the manuals there's no way to reset the admin password on the web page in the ARM series aside from a key operator reset to the factory defaults, which may or may not even affect the web page.

From what I gather, the web browser was not all that well used previously... There's not a lot of documentation about it. Key op code can be displayed with sim 22-7.

Thank you for responding so quickly; however the issue seems to be the password I set a long time ago is not working; not sure if I failed at the initial changing of the default but it would be helpful to reset it back to the factory password like the one you have provided.
