    mx 2300 warm time

    Hy friends
    i have two copiers,a mx-2300 and one mx-2700 that as long, long warm time, each time thats beguin
    work.
    The costumers say that the copier is always "heating"
    Anyone knows something about this?

      hi
      switch off
      1-energy save mode,or increase the intervals
      2-check auto shut off mode/power save mode

          I've had a fuser lamp crack at the contact point do the same thing. Also, check thermistors.

              Also look at the media types programmed to each paper drawer.

              Someone at our office got the idea that if Thick1 was good for heavy paper it would also be good for everything else. So even though it was only printing 20# bond the machine had an additional warm up cycle before every print job. I only discovered this when they asked me why all the paper was wrinkling. =^..^=

                  Make sure firmware is up to date. There were changes made to these machines early on involving the auto calibration they do. This could also make it seem like they are spending a lot of time warming up.
                  I know I should be ashamed of myself. Strangely though, I am not.
